You will only receive emergency notifications issued by Crawford County, listed jurisdiction/agencies and selected weather notifications issued by the NOAA Weather. I do not have Internet access, how can I sign up to get “CrawfordAlerts” on my phones? If you have any questions or are unable to register you may call the system administrator /Crawford County Emergency Management at 419-562-6009. Will I receive ads or SPAM on my phone? No.  Inspiron Logistics, the company behind the Wireless Emergency Notification System (WENS), does not tolerate spam text or email messages. I don’t use text messages.  How else can I receive “CrawfordAlerts”? You can receive emergency alerts on any landline number or email address.  All of these options are available on the sign-up page. What if I change my mobile carrier and receive service through another company? You will still receive alerts if your phone number has not changed. “CrawfordAlerts will automatically detect your new carrier. How can I stop receiving the alerts? Return to the web site where you signed up and click on "unsubscribe." Does “CrawfordAlerts” cost anything to use? There is no cost for an individual who has registered for the alerts; however, your cell phone carrier may charge you to receive text messages or use of minutes, so please check your plan. Will all cell phone carriers deliver “CrawfordAlerts” messages? Yes.  If for some reason you are unable to receive the text messages after you sign up, email support@inspironlogistics.com with your name, phone number, carrier and your comments. How do I add, change, or update my registration information? Follow the steps to unsubscribe your current information and sign up your new information on the entry point. Will there be periodically test of the “CrawfordAlerts” system? Yes, tests are possible.  The County will monitor the results of each notification issued and determine if there is a need to test the system to verify subscriptions to this system and to ensure the system is working properly.  The County will avoid unnecessary tests, but will perform tests if determined that it is necessary for the integrity of the system.  Such test messages would only occur between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
